Bonnie Bredes
Bonnie Bredes is a school librarian with 19 years of experience at the Center Moriches School District. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Art (Photography) and Master’s degrees in Library Science and Systems Technological Management (Educational Technology). She is passionate about getting students to express their learning creatively and developing engaging programs to encourage reading. She is currently working towards Sustainable Librarian Certification.
Bonnie has always been interested in and an avid fan of the arts. She enjoys the theater, visiting museums, and attending concerts. Her photography has been exhibited at the Center Moriches Public Library and the Moriches Community Center. She volunteers as technical and administrative support for NY4Ukraine, a non-profit that delivers art supplies to be used for art therapy and other humanitarian aid for orphaned children and families affected by the war in Ukraine. In her spare time, she can be found walking or relaxing at the beach, cycling, or hiking.
