Christine Baum
Christine Baum is a dedicated storyteller holding degrees in both printmaking and library science. She’s worked in various printmaking studios in New York City as an artist, studio monitor, master printer’s assistant, and archivist assistant. It was at the EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop that she witnessed the power of co-operative print spaces and how innovation is driven by diversity and inclusivity. Baum eventually broadened her print studies to include youth literature and its role in shaping identities for children; stories should act as both windows and mirrors. Her role as a children’s librarian has led to a career of community outreach and programming; and she continues to create and exhibit her own artwork.
