John Cino
Artist, Curator and Educator
John Cino is an artist, curator, and educator. As a student, he excelled in mathematics and science before settling on a career in art. After receiving his MFA in Sculpture, he began teaching in NYC public schools. For the next 12 years, he taught art and math in junior and middle schools before moving on to teaching art in local colleges. John has been an advocate for the arts, first as president of 14 Sculptures Gallery, an artist’s cooperative, then in Patchogue, where he was a founding member of the Patchogue Arts Council. He has remained an active artist, exploring many fields, from math and sciences to language, music, mythology, and anthropology. He frequently lectures on various topics in Art History and looks forward to an active retirement in January 2025.
