Lauren Ruiz
Lauren Ruiz is a research-based multimedia artist interrogating perceptions of nature, the role of institutional authority, and their complex intersections with class, labor, and identity. She creates speculative-fiction-based installations, digital works, and multimedia sculptures inviting subjects to question the relationship between the human body and the post natural environment. Ruiz has presented her research projects at the Latvian National Museum of Art, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, the 2021 College Art Association Conference and the 2022 AAH Conference.
