Patricia Caracappa

Patty Caracappa completed her 20th year as an accidental Spanish teacher serving Farmingdale Schools. She began as an art teacher attending The Maryland Institute College of Art, Studio Art Centers International in Florence Italy, and completed her Masters in Art Education at Queens College. In 2020, Patricia completed her School Building and School District Administrative certificates. She was honored with the PTA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 and most recently became the SEPTA president of Hauppauge schools in 2022. 

She classifies herself as a painter and lover of art, culture, and languages with a passion for creating inclusive cultures; but she is most proud of her role as a mom to two young ladies. Patricia is honored to be a part of Cohort #1, looking to learn how she can be a peace advocate and serve various communities in the next chapter of her life.
